MY Work
This collection highlights my work in technical writing, copywriting, and other related projects. Each one reflects my focus on clarity, usability, and user needs.
For this project, I worked with a team of technical writers to edit and rewrite a real estate appraisal report for a project manager. We were tasked with editing the document for grammar, accuracy, and user-friendliness.
This is a sample email I created for a mock tutoring program's back to school promotion.
Spec email copy I created for a fictional Orlando resort brand, targeting local families interested in staycation deals.
Report for the results of a usability test of the Norwegian Cruise Line app that I conducted with a group of technical writing peers.
ABOUT ME
Hi there! I'm Lianna Romero, a technical and copywriter with a B.A. in English - Technical Communication from the University of Central Florida. I specialize in creating clear content that's easy to understand and enjoyable to use. I’ve spent over 7 years working in travel and hospitality, mostly in customer support, so I know what it’s like to help people navigate confusing information in real time.After years of helping people navigate tricky systems (and answering lots of questions), I realized I could use my writing skills to make those systems better from the start. That’s where my love for user experience and creating easy-to-read content comes in. I’m all about guiding users before they even need to ask, as well as attracting those users in the first place! My lifelong passion for writing, experience in travel, and fulfillment from helping others made this career path a no-brainer for me.Outside of writing, I'm a mom of two little ones, a boy and a girl. Balancing motherhood, working, and getting my degree all at once gave me time management and problem-solving skills that I bring into every one of my projects. Along with spending time with my family, I enjoy visiting new cities, checking out museums, and reading a good book on the beach.I'm currently open to remote and freelance opportunities, especially in travel, or anywhere helpful, engaging content is needed!
